My son who resides in Japan had asked me to paint this painting.  I wasn't familiar with the meaning or history behind it, upon reading further, I found it to be fascinating and understand how he became intrigued by it.  Due to the artist having passed away over 100 years ago, there is no copyright law and you are free to   replicate it.  Here is my version's gift to him.
